It’s an art extravaganza day for Libby and me as we check out Tesoros at the press preview at PMA then run up to New York for Zoe Strauss’s sold out event,Initial Public Offering, at the Whitney. Zoe’s going to screen the trailer for the documentary film about her. Here’s the link to the trailer. The documentary is being made by a group of at risk youth under the supervision of David Kessler and that’s way too simple an explanation but it will have to do at this moment as I rush out the door..
Of course in our wildest moments we imagine going to Chelsea after Tesoros and our two-hour bus ride before we zoom up to the Whitney by 6:30. In the rain. We’ll report soon on how it all went.
Meanwhile, we’re missing a bunch of great sounding events tonight in Philadelphia, like the opening of brand new gallery Cerulean whose innaugural show is a celebration of the 1996 PAFA graduating class whose members include some of Artblog‘s favorite artists, like Astrid Bowlby, Mark Shetabi, Hiro Sakaguchi, Nancy Lewis, Kevin Strickland, Eric Brown, Michael Kowbuz and more!!. Then over at Crane, there’s the opening of the online project Subterrane which will project the projects large…a nice idea. See inliquid for more events.
