Hi Libby and Roberta –
Great to run into you two in Chelsea this weekend (and thanks for the tips!). I just read your first installment of your NYC reportage. Its fun to compare highlights with my own. I totally agree about the return of interesting sculpture. Jenelle Porter’s formalism show at ICA alterted me to this, and its been confirmed upon many visits to Chelsea. Though i must say, when I did Chelsea a month ago, it was really depressing, almost nothing good. This time was a huge turn around.
In October I brought 8 curators from my program to Philly for First Friday. They had a blast. and, ironically, we found a New York Times photographer at Black Floor.
