What we want to see Friday

Here’s where we’re going to be Friday night: The Bambi Biennial! Excuse us for a moment of self-promotion but we juried the show at Bambi Gallery and we’re excited about it. New names, new faces, new work–we hope to see you there!
February 1 – March 18, 2008

A.V.O.W.

A.V.O.W (Amps, Volts, Ohms, and Watts) looks like a high-voltage show featuring Jeremy Boyle, Pablo Colapinto, Kara Crombie, Max Lawrence, Justin Marshall, and Huong Ngo. The show, curated by Sean Stoops, is a don’t miss at the Painted Bride Art Center (plus there’s music at the opening reception).
February 1 – March 15, 2008

At Locks Gallery, New York artist Alyson Shotz with a new eco-themed installation, using digital photography, wire, glass beads and plastic lenses.
January 18 – February 29, 2008

We’ll miss it, but as ever, we adore Vox, Screening and Copy, where there’s always plenty good to see.
