West Prize is looking for a few good artists

It’s time to apply for the West Prize, now going for its second round, with a grand prize of $25,000 cash plus $100,000 of purchase money distributed among the 10 finalists, who came from across the U.S. and abroad, with the Philadelphia collaborators, brothers Steven and Billy Blaise Dufala, taking home the big one.

The Dufala brothers won last year's West Collection grand prize. Here's their 2007, Ice Cream Truck Tank, mixed media, 8’ x 6’ x 13’, on display at the West Collection's home, SEI Corporation in Oaks.

The purchases go to the West Collection, whose curator, Paige West, is not afraid of surfing the edge.
