Steve and I went to New York last week for a quick overnight. Apart from the summer heat (never great to experience in the big bad city) we had a great time traipsing up the Guggenheim ramp with all of the non-English speakers (summer tourists from Eurozone countries where the Euro gets a lot of bang for the buck). Rineke Dykstra’s retrospective, split between 4 floors of the museum, is great! We also checked out the Bruce Nauman fish fountain at Gagosian and sat through the audio piece by Janet Cardiff and George Buress Miller, a Public Art Fund piece at the Park Avenue Armory. More coming up later in the week!
