Wonderfully timed to coincide with the celebration of all things eccentric , CandyCoated Studio has moved operations! The new warehouse space, featuring a 22+yard long print table and the presence of Wallpaper Residency artists (we will take that designation, please and thank you) and instruction from the incomparable CandyCoated, promises a new bright spot in the city.

Opportunities

Eco-friendly Fashion, kicking off December 16 and running through February 21, 2014, is seeking to bring ingenious, sustainable wearables to the Art Gallery at City Hall and display cases. They’re looking for works that address the issues of sustainability and eco-consciousness in the context of fashion, with a wide range of possible uses of sustainable materials for art, clothing or designs.  Juried by Joan K. Smith, submissions are due November 22 , 2013 by 4 pm. Call (215) 686-9912 or email artincityhall@phila.gov for additional info.

SVA has launched a new MA Curatorial Practice Department, headed up by Steven Henry Madoff. Starting in 2014, applications are being accepted now. Additionally, Madoff is organizing the program’s first international curatorial summit on November 2, so they’ve got a lot on deck.
