The International House’s verdant new installation opens July 10, with Ted Knighton and his new installation “Street Trees,” setting up in the lobby outside the Ibrahim Theater. “Street Trees” is based on Knighton’s illustrations of trees impacted by the Philadelphia urban environment. this link:  The opening is Thursday, July 10, beginning at 5:30 PM with food and drinks, then continuing with a visual presentation in the theater by Ted himself at 7 PM. He’s also planning on screening his narrative film project 3RD AND ARCH, which you may have seen when it was projected on the of the building at that location.

Led by some local favorites of ours, Leeway Foundation is hosting Imprint, an independent publishing skill share and discussion on Tuesday, August 5. “Utopia” is billed as a cultural anthem made by mashing up the song ‘Urbanism in the House’ by Tuomas Toivonen with thoughts on achieving utopia by way of Yoko Ono’s music concrete. OK, then!

via Pentimenti – Not for a while, but not too far: Jackie Tileston has an end-of-summer solo show at Zg Gallery in Chicago, opening on September 5.
