It’s been long enough! NoseGo (Yis Goodwin) returns to Arch Enemy Arts for his first solo hometown show in two years. Invisible Village opens Friday, January 23 and runs through March 1.
Moore College of Art and Design is honoring the very deserving Dr. Judith Rodin, president of the Rockefeller Foundation and author of The Resilience Dividend: Being Strong in a World Where Things Go Wrong, with the 2015 Edmund M. Bacon Prize on February 18.

The Da Vinci Art Alliance is hosting OPEN LENS, an open juried photography exhibition, February 7 to 28, 2015, kicking off with a reception Wednesday, February 11, 6-9pm. The first photographic exhibition Da Vinci’s had in a while, entries and award winners are juried by Joel Katz, award-winning designer, photographer, educator and author, and cash awards are given to the top winners. Check out the OPEN LENS prospectus, and remember that drop-off submissions are due February 1 and 2.
Cerulean Arts is accepting entries for their 3rd Annual Juried Exhibition, to be held June 24 – July 18, 2015. This year’s juror is Philadelphia artist Elizabeth Osborne. Art must be original and have been created within the past two (2) years. Accepted media include painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor), works on paper (drawing, pastel, printmaking), photography and sculpture. The gallery asks that art is free-standing or ready to hang, works on paper framed (no clip frames). If required, you must provide your own pedestal to display sculpture works. Maximum framed size shouldn’t exceed 36” in either dimension. There’s a fee of $20 for one entry, $25 for two entries and $30 for three entries. Accepted artists are posted on the gallery website no later than Saturday, May 23, 2015; Elizabeth selects the awards in June and presents them during the opening reception (recipients notified prior). First Prize is $200 plus inclusion in a 2016 group exhibition; Second Prize is $150; and third prize is $100. Cerulean Arts retains a 40% commission of 40% of all artwork sold, and payment to the artist is made within 30 days of the exhibition’s closing. All entries must be postmarked on or before Friday, May 1, 2015.

Jaime Treadwell’s San Francisco show Trick Magic, whose opening was originally delayed, is now on view at Mirus Gallery until February 14 (Valentine’s Day ending? Hmm…).
Keep an eye out for Drew Leshko at the DCCA this spring – he’s in “Relics,” running from April to August. Additionally, the word from Paradigm Gallery is that there’s still time to buy one of his pallet pieces for $20 a piece on a first-come-first-served basis. Get one while you can!
