It’s also Black Music Month! From the African American Museum in Philadelphia, here’s a great-sounding event, featuring Philly’s own Lady B.
In honor of Black Music Month, ReelBlack partners with the African American Museum in Philadelphia to premiere two short films celebrating Philadelphia’s hip-hop history, and the contributions of rap pioneer and radio personality Lady B.
Both projects, Bring the Beat Back and A Salute to Lady B, feature footage that has largely gone unseen, until now. This screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Lady B, MC Breeze, and Funk Wizard Snow alongside filmmakers Mike D. and Tito Irizarry. Don’t wait, grab your tickets now!
