ATTENTION: Tyler School of Art’s Alumni Gallery, Straw, is now accepting applications for the months of September-December, 2019. Work of all mediums will be accepted for consideration. The space will feature one artist per month. Please email strawisagallery@gmail.com with a proposal (500 word max), propositional drawings, renderings, images and/or video. Please specify the equipment necessary for your installation todetermine compatibility with the space. * * * What is Straw? In this particular case, it is an exhibit space that invites alumni to come back to the Tyler building and show their post-graduation work in the interdisciplinary setting of visibility between departments, faculty, students and public community. Down the Green Hallway and to the right, just inside the double-doors leading to the sculpture woodshop, Straw is a seeming recess into a wall with a hidden vertical climb allowing for a show of intimate and upward proportions. The space is thirty feet tall, thirty-three inches wide and ninety-six inches long. * * * #tylerschoolofart #artist #phildelphiaart #sculptor #tylerschoolofartalumni
