From Temple Contemporary, a new show with great visuals judging from the images –
We’re excited to debut Hope Ginsburg’s largest video production to date, “Breathing on Land: Bay of Fundy.” This single channel video with sound takes meditation with scuba gear as a starting point to refocus attention on our bodies, their contexts, and implicitly the health of our atmosphere. Breathing on Land: Bay of Fundy will also be shown at Mass MOCA this spring as part of “Explode Every Day: An Inquiry into the Phenomena of Wonder”, which will open at the end of May.
The Distinguished Alumni Program Exhibition also includes new work by Misha Wyllie entitled Out to Lunch. The opening reception is Wednesday, May 4 from 6-8pm.

Printing, Writing, Teaching,
and Interdisciplinary Collaboration
On exhibit April 4-September 2, 2016The exhibition Common Press at 10 celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Common Press and its interdisciplinary approach to printing, teaching, and collaboration at the University of Pennsylvania. Expanding on these themes, the Common Press is hosting a symposium exploring contemporary letterpress printing, writing at the press, and the practice of teaching printing in a university setting. Speakers will discuss the state of printmaking in Philadelphia; the role of small, independent presses in contemporary printmaking and book arts; writing and publishing small editions; and current and future models for interdisciplinary teaching.

Vox Populi is particularly interested in highlighting work in all media that pushes boundaries in terms of form and content, is ambitious and timely, and is experimental and risk-taking.
This year’s jurors are Gordon Hall and Brian Droitcour.
Gordon Hall is an artist based in New York. Hall has exhibited and performed at SculptureCenter, The Brooklyn Museum, The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Whitney Museum of American Art, Movement Research, EMPAC, Temple Contemporary, Night Club in Chicago, Kent Fine Art, Foxy Production, The Hessel Museum at Bard College, White Columns, and at Chapter NY, among others. Hall has also organized lecture and performance programs at MoMA PS1, Recess, The Shandaken Project, and at the Whitney Museum of American Art, producing a series of lectures and seminars in conjunction with the 2014 Whitney Biennial. Hall holds an MFA and an MA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Hall is currently visiting faculty in the department of Sculpture and Extended Media at Virginia Commonwealth University and part time faculty at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Brian Droitcour is an associate editor at Art in America. His writing has appeared in Art in America, Parkett, Artforum,and Spike, among other periodicals, and he has contributed essays to books published by SculptureCenter and Cornerhouse. He edited The Animated Reader: Poetry of Surround Audience, a poetry anthology accompanying the New Museum’s 2015 Triennial. Curatorial projects include “It Narratives: The Movement of Objects as Information,” co-organized with Zanna Gilbert at Franklin Street Projects in Stamford, CT, in 2014, and Klaus_eBooks, a series of artists’ digital publications that culminated in “Thanks to Apple, Amazon, and the Mall,” a group exhibition at Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, the series’ publisher, in 2015

I have 3 pages in my favorite comics anthology which has been published by Fantagraphics Books! Sometimes it takes 74 years, but dreams really can become reality
