Artist Andrew Norman Wilson hires a virtual assistant located in India through the online office help agency, Get Friday. Norm’s desire is not to have the virtual assistant keep his schedule or pick up his dry cleaning, but rather he wants to subvert the corporate boss/worker relationship and coax his virtual assistant, Akhil, into personal conversations on the job. Roberta writes about this rare art project to create human bonds where none were envisioned.
